How Far Can The Awning Window Be Opened?

When specifying the opening angle of the awning window, two factors should be considered:
1. Ensure ventilation and avoid risks: To prevent children or pets from climbing out of the window, the vertical distance between the bottom edge of the window and the ground should be kept greater than 110 cm. In extreme weather, the opening angle should be reduced to prevent the window from being hit hard by the wind,
2. Anti-theft performance: Aluminum alloy skylights have strong wind resistance, but in order to improve the anti-theft ability of the window, the opening angle should be controlled. It is recommended that the bottom edge of the window be at least 50cm from the ground and the window opening angle should be limited to 30 degrees.
In general, the opening angle of the awning window should be between 30 and 45 degrees. In public places such as large shopping malls, the opening angle may be larger, up to 60 degrees. But for personal use at home, the opening angle should be kept at around 30 degrees. To ensure safety, the window opening angle should not exceed 90 degrees.

How to clean the awning window from the inside?
While awning windows look beautiful and allow for ventilation, they can be difficult to clean. To clean awning windows, you have to climb a ladder to get close to them. I think you’ll find patio doors much easier to clean, won’t you? If you follow these instructions when cleaning your awning windows from the inside in the spring and fall, you’ll have sparkling, spotless windows year-round

1. Remove the Screen and Clean It shouldn’t be too difficult to remove the screen on your awning window. You can accomplish this task by locating the small tab or latch on the side of the screen, which may require you to loosen the latch on the screen before you can remove it. Once you’ve loosened the fastener, grab the pin and move the screen closer to you. To clean the screen, place it in a large sink or tub filled with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub the screen until it’s clean, rinse it well before placing it back on the window, and wait for it to dry.

2. Clean the frame
Using a soft cloth, clean the frame around the glass with the same soapy water you used to clean the screen. Pay special attention to removing any oil or dirt from the surface. To prevent streaks, wipe the water off the frame with a dry, soft nap (e.g. a microfiber towel).

3. Clean the glass
The first step is to polish the inside of the glass with the glass cleaner of your choice. To clean the outside, you must first lift the sash lock handle and turn the crank so that the window is fully open. You should be able to open it far enough to reach outside and clean the glass in the same way you cleaned the inside glass.

4. Apply lubricant to the crank and hinges
Lubrication is a maintenance task. Windows with moving parts must be lubricated regularly to keep them in good working order. Making this part of your daily cleaning routine will ensure that the hinges and cranks on your windows are regularly maintained.
To do this, you will need a soft cloth and a bottle of spray lubricant with silicone. Spray some oil onto the cloth and quickly wipe the crank and hinges.
5. Replace the Screen
Before replacing the screen, you will need to make sure it is completely dry so that it does not leave any wet stains on the newly polished window glass. To reattach the screen to the window, you will need to push it into the correct position and tighten the pins.
