1. Commercial Building Glass Curtain Walls
Commercial building glass curtain walls are non-structural cladding systems that enclose a building’s frame using large glass panels supported by a metal framework (typically aluminum or steel). The frames may be visible or hidden, depending on the specific design, and the glass panels can be fixed or operable.
✅ Advantages:
Structural Integrity – The metal frame provides strong support for the glass panels, making this system ideal for high-rise buildings or structures exposed to high wind loads or other external forces.
Customization – Commercial glass curtain walls can be customized in terms of frame size, glass type, and panel configuration. This provides versatility for a variety of architectural styles, from traditional to modern.
Energy Efficiency – When paired with high-performance glazing (e.g., Low-E glass, double-glazing, tinted glass), commercial glass curtain walls can be energy-efficient, providing good insulation and UV protection.
Durability – The metal framing and toughened glass are highly durable and resistant to weathering, making these systems ideal for commercial applications.
Maintenance – While the metal frame requires occasional maintenance, the glass panels are typically easy to clean, and the overall system is designed for long-term use.
🔹 Best For:
Commercial high-rise buildings, office towers, and shopping centers where structural integrity and customizable design are key requirements.
Projects that need to withstand wind loads, weather, and heavy-duty usage, such as urban environments or high-exposure areas.
2. Point-Fixed Glass Curtain Wall
A point-fixed glass curtain wall is a frameless system where large glass panels are attached to the building structure at specific points using metal connectors, clamps, or bolts. These points are typically located at the corners or edges of the glass panels, creating a minimalist look where the framing is not visible.
✅ Advantages:
Aesthetic Appeal – Point-fixed glass systems offer a clean, uninterrupted look with minimal visible framing, ideal for modern, minimalist designs where transparency and sleek lines are key.
Maximized Transparency – Since the framing is hidden or virtually invisible, these systems provide maximum glass visibility and allow for unobstructed views of the exterior environment.
Lightweight Appearance – Despite the large size of the glass panels, point-fixed systems create a lighter visual effect by reducing the massing of the building’s exterior.
Innovative Design – The point-fixing system allows for creative, angular or curved designs, enabling more architectural freedom.
Energy Efficiency – Similar to commercial glass curtain walls, point-fixed systems can incorporate energy-efficient glazing (e.g., double-glazed, Low-E glass) for thermal performance, UV protection, and reduced glare.
🔹 Best For:
High-end commercial buildings, art galleries, or luxury residential projects that emphasize modern aesthetics, transparency, and a clean, frameless design.
Projects in urban environments where maximized visibility and unobstructed views are desired.
Architectural icons or buildings where design flexibility and an innovative appearance are central to the project.
Feature | Commercial Building Glass Curtain Wall | Point-Fixed Glass Curtain Wall |
---|---|---|
Aesthetic | Visible metal framing, more structured look | Frameless, clean, minimalist design with hidden points of attachment |
Structural Support | Metal frame supports large panels, ideal for high-rise | Glass panels fixed at specific points, requiring precise engineering |
Transparency | High, but framing can obstruct views | Maximized transparency with minimal obstruction |
Energy Efficiency | Can be energy-efficient with proper glazing | Can be energy-efficient if double-glazed or Low-E glass is used |
Design Flexibility | Flexible in terms of framing and panel configuration | Flexible in terms of size and shape, with creative design possibilities |
Cost | Moderate to high (depending on glazing and frame) | High, due to complex installation and specialized materials |
Installation | Standard installation with visible framing | More complex installation, requires precision and specialized hardware |
Maintenance | Easy to clean, but metal frames require occasional maintenance | Requires care to maintain the frameless look and may need regular inspections for point fixings |
Best For | Commercial buildings, high-rises, and shopping centers | High-end commercial projects, architectural landmarks, or offices seeking a minimalist design |
Laminated glass
Laminated glass is a composite glass product made by bonding two or more layers of glass with polyvinyl alcohol (PVB) film and then processing them under high temperature and high pressure. Laminated glass made of transparent film has a similar appearance to ordinary annealed glass, but due to the excellent flexibility of PVB film, when laminated glass is impacted by external force, the film layer will quickly absorb a large amount of impact energy and attenuate it, so laminated glass is difficult to be penetrated. Due to the bonding performance of the film layer, the glass will not fall off after being broken, and can maintain excellent integrity. It still has certain shielding performance, which will not cause injury due to glass scattering, and will give enough time to replace the glass. Therefore, laminated glass is a truly safe glass. It is widely used in building doors and windows, curtain walls, skylights, skylights, ceilings, and indoor glass.

Product Overview
Thermal stability: Tempered glass has good thermal stability and can withstand a temperature difference of 300°C, which is 3 times that of ordinary glass.
Safety: Tempered glass has strong impact resistance due to the presence of a stress layer, making it difficult to break, and the small blunt-angle particles formed after the glass is broken will not cause significant harm to the human body.
